I dabble, as well, in amateur photography, and being very snap happy I try to capture bits and pieces of the world around me at home, at work, a walk, a trip, a parade and anywhere else my happy feet take me. Anything and everything is my favorite subject ... it all matters. I've never taken a class in photography ... just simply carry my camera with me everywhere and feel naked without it. Old Glory is a favorite subject and I try to capture that "glory" in different locations and circumstance.
I have a Zazzle store, ForEverProud, which highlights my original Patriotic designed products. My American/USA patriotic products have been created with careful thought, and the majority from my own photography. My Veterans Day Cards, Welcome Home Cards and Thank You for Your Service Cards have been created in hopes of recognizing with gratitude all who have served, past and present. Forever Proud's Red, White and Blue is an extension of my patriotic products from my Zazzle store.
For twenty-two years I was blessed by working with and teaching students with disabilities, and I have probably learned more from them than they have learned from me. The last fourteen of those years I worked specifically with high-school students with disabilities and each day was filled with adventure and reward. I retired in September of 2013.
Most important, I have a family with whom I am extremely close. I am the mother of two sons, one of whom is a U.S. Marine. I am very proud of both my sons.
Now fully into my "seniorhood" life is appreciated from many different angles and perspectives ... from experiences good and experiences best left unspoken.
